Who runs this site?
This is an independent information page about speeding tickets in San Jose and Santa Clara County. An editorial team writes and reviews it. It is not a law firm. Numbers come from the court, the Vehicle Code and each firm's own website.
What is this site?
This site is an independent information page about speeding tickets in San Jose and Santa Clara County. It explains what a ticket costs, how DMV points work, what your options are, and how Santa Clara County traffic court runs. It also lists law firms that handle these cases.
The site is not a law firm. It does not give legal advice, and it does not represent anyone in court.
Who writes it?
The site's editorial team writes and reviews every page. We do not publish individual author names. We stand behind the page by naming our sources and showing the date we last checked it.
Where do the numbers come from?
Every figure on the site comes from one of three places:
- The Santa Clara County Superior Court. Fines, court addresses, phone numbers, deadlines and procedures come from the court's own website and its published traffic bail schedule.
- The California Vehicle Code. Statute numbers link to the text on leginfo.legislature.ca.gov.
- Each law firm's own website. Firm details, such as addresses, phone numbers and published fees, come from the firm itself or from its State Bar profile.
Figures we could not confirm on an official source are left off the site.
How current is the information?
Each page shows a "Last reviewed" date. Fines, fees and court rules change. The date tells you when we last compared the page with its sources. Confirm anything that matters to your case with the court.
How do you report an error?
Tell us what is wrong and where you saw it. Use the contact page. We check each report against the original source and fix the page when the source supports the change.
